Clinical Neuro-ophthalmology (ID 340)

Students will actively participate in the busy outpatient, inpatient (consultative) and surgical practices of Drs. Liu, Shindler, Tamhankar, Avery, Ross, and Hamedani, full-time faculty members comprising the U. Penn. Division of Neuro-ophthalmology serving HUP, the Scheie Eye Institute, VA and CHOP. Attendance at the biweekly neuro-ophthalmology conference at HUP (1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 8:00 AM) and the monthly conference at SEI (2nd Friday at 7:00 AM) will be expected (and a presentation at the latter is required). One-month electives are offered. Clinical research projects will be available and encouraged. Only one student per month; preference given to U. Penn medical students.

Prerequisite: Neurology 200 or Ophthalmology 200. Approval from Dr. Liu.
