Clinical Neuro-ophthalmology (ID 340)

Students will actively participate in the busy outpatient, inpatient (consultative) and surgical practices of Drs. Liu, Shindler, Tamhankar, Avery, Ross, Hamedani, Prasad, and Kruszewski, full-time faculty members comprising the U. Penn. Division of Neuro-ophthalmology serving the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), the Scheie Eye Institute (SEI), Veteran's Administration (VA) and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Attendance at the neurology resident neuro-ophthalmology conferences at HUP and the monthly ophthalmology resident neuro-ophthalmology conference at SEI will be expected. Two and four-week electives are offered. Only one student per rotation; preference given to U. Penn medical students.

Required: Neurology 200 or Ophthalmology 200. Approval from Dr. Kruszewski, director of the student elective <adam.kruszewski@pennmedicine.upenn.edu>.
